The Masai Mara is the safari the world dreams about, and four days is the sweet spot: long enough for the Mara to reveal her rhythm — lions at first light, elephants crossing golden grassland, the river drama of migration season — without rushing a single moment. You travel in a 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof and a Kenyan driver-guide who grew up reading these plains.
Day 1 — Nairobi to the Masai Mara
Your guide collects you from your Nairobi hotel or the airport at 7:30 AM. The drive descends the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment (photo stop included) and reaches the Mara by early afternoon. After lunch and check-in at your camp, head out for your first game drive as the light turns gold — the Mara often delivers lions before dinner on day one. Day 2 — Full day among the big cats
Out at dawn, when predators are active and the light is at its best. Today is a full day in the reserve with a picnic lunch beside the Mara River, watching hippos argue and crocodiles pretend to sleep. Your guide tracks lion prides, cheetah on the termite mounds, and — with patience and luck — a leopard draped in a fig tree. All meals included.
Day 3 — Balloon option, Mara River & Maasai village
