1. Contract. A booking is confirmed when we receive your deposit and issue written confirmation. The lead booker confirms authority to accept these terms for the whole group.
2. Prices & payment. Quotes are in [USD] and valid for [14] days. A deposit of [30]% (or [$200] per person, whichever is greater) secures your booking; the balance is due [60] days before arrival. Bookings made within [60] days of travel require full payment. Prices include the items listed in your quote and nothing else; government-imposed increases in park fees or taxes may be passed on at cost with documentation.
3. Cancellation by you (per person, from date of written notice): more than [90] days before arrival — loss of deposit; [89–60] days — [30]%; [59–30] days — [60]%; [29] days or fewer / no-show — [100]%. We strongly recommend cancellation insurance. Where suppliers refund us, we pass savings on where possible.
4. Changes by you. We accommodate reasonable changes where possible; supplier charges and a [$50] amendment fee may apply.
5. Changes/cancellation by us. Rarely, we may alter an itinerary for safety, weather, park closures or events beyond our control; we will provide a comparable alternative. If we must cancel for reasons within our control, you receive a full refund of amounts paid to us; we are not liable for costs not booked through us (e.g., international flights).
6. Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure caused by events beyond reasonable control (extreme weather, epidemics, government action, civil unrest, natural disaster). In such cases we will offer rebooking or credit in the first instance.
7. Travel documents, health & insurance. Passports (valid 6+ months), visas/eTA, vaccinations and fitness to travel are your responsibility. Comprehensive travel insurance, including medical evacuation and cancellation cover, is a mandatory condition of travel with us.
8. Assumption of risk & liability. Travel in wilderness areas involves inherent risks, including wildlife, terrain and remote locations. We act with reasonable skill and care and use licensed, reputable suppliers, but to the maximum extent permitted by law our liability is limited to the value of your booking, and we are not liable for the acts of independent suppliers or for indirect losses. All guests must sign our Assumption of Risk & Release form before travel. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Kenyan law.
9. Conduct. We may remove from a trip, without refund, any guest whose behavior endangers others, wildlife or our community partners, or breaches our child-protection policy.
10. Complaints. Tell your trip leader immediately so we can fix issues on the spot; unresolved complaints should be emailed within [28] days of trip end.
